IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To All Our Valued Patients
We are currently awaiting the go – ahead from Scottish Government for NHS practices reopening but this should come in the next few days.
We are all set to reopen and looking forward to helping you once again.
Thanks for your patience over the past 12 weeks, we have been doing our best to help with as many of your problems as possible during this time but it has been frustrating time for all.
What we do know is that during the initial phase of reopening all NHS practices will be restricted to treating 10 patients per day with a very limited range of treatment available (This is due to the supply and availability of PPE from NHS)
This will include the following –
- Assessment (But not routine examinations)
- X-Rays
- Dressings / temporary fillings
- Smoothing teeth
- Recementing some crowns/bridges/veneers
- Extractions
- Simple Denture repairs
- Simple denture additions
Scottish Government restrictions stipulate that we will be unable to carry out any treatment which requires the use of our high-speed drills (due to the aerosol which they generate) during this initial phase.
Treatment will need to be on a planned appointment basis only, and we will make appointments available as soon as we have a start date.
We would ask patients to please not attend the practice unless you have a scheduled appointment
We understand that this will be frustrating for everyone, but this will be for an initial period only, and we hope this will improve as Government reviews are carried out, however we must adhere to the guidance we have been given.
See you all soon,
Team VDS
